Description: Very nice pre WWII woven basket. Estate sale find among many other antique baskets. I will be listing a few more, but none from French Indochina (before Vietnam & French occupied). Several antique postcards can be found online depicting French Indochina basket weavers. The basket is round in shape and measures 10" in diameter x 3.5" deep. The green areas in the design are faded and there is a bit of wear/damage/breaks in weaving on a very small area on outside rim. The most information I could find was that these baskets were made from the middle 1800's to just before WWII. This was kept in a wooden trunk for as long as anyone could remember.
