Description: Antique old original book "The way to Scapa Flow" Günther Prien The German submarine ace from WW2. Very nice old book with 64 beautiful photos of the U-boats and the Battle of Scapa Flow. The book was printed in 1940. During World War II, the German submarine U 47 under the command of Kapitänleutnant Günther Prien succeeded in penetrating through Kirk Sound into Scapa Flow Bay on October 14, 1939. He was able to sink the British battleship HMS Royal Oak with a crew of 833 and then leave the port again. Günther Prien destroyed many more battleships in WW II and was awarded the Knight's Cross for this. The beautiful old book is in good condition. All pages are available and it is now very rare to get. The book has a total of 190 pages. The book is 83 years old and of course it shows signs of age, because it is an antique book by Günther Prien. The collector of submarine technology and German submarine literature will be delighted.
