Product Description: This item for sale is a new-old-stock Strong silver seatpost measuring 26.6 mm in diameter and having a total post length of 300 mm (or 190 mm from the limit line to the middle of the saddle clamp). The off set on this particular post is about 20 mm (and we define off set as the horizontal distance from the center of the post/pillar to the center of the seat clamp bolt). This is a vintage (80's) seatpost made in Japan and we believe it to be fairly good quality. They remind us a little of the vintage Japanese made SR seatposts, but these are a little longer then most of those we have seen...and these posts may have a little "beefier" looking saddle clamp design. Our best guess is they were designed for road bike use...given their relatively small diameter, but their length might also allow them to be used on older steel-tubed mountain bikes with equally small (in diameter) seat tubes. They came to us bulk packed in plastic sleeves and the few I have left in stock show fairly well. The silver finish on each pillar is understated, but still nice. Although, I am seeing some shopwear-type marks (scuffs and scratches) on each pillar. Listing Update...I am at the end of my stocks in these seatposts, so I have begun updating the pictures to reflect the next one that will sell/ship. The previously mentioned general description as it relates to the cosmetic condition of this particular seatpost is accurate. The overall condition is still fairly nice, but I do see some shopwear on the pillar (and some of these blemishes show up in the updated pictures, but probably not as well as I would like...and just want to be honest with folks). Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case. Note to international customers regarding customs... We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale.
