Description: NORTH CAROLINA The Tarheel State View-Master pkt S3, mid-1950s. Reels N.CAR-1, -2, -3.A fairly uncommon packet. The usual mix of history, landmarks, recreation, and industry, but with better-than-usual stereo photography, IMO. Two scenes of Indians, a couple good factory scenes, beach beauties, tobacco, tourists too close to a roadside bear, a tunnel, a cave, and more. Packet: 70 years old and looks it. Both sides are open about halfway from top to bottom, and there's a diagonal tear running from front top right 3/4 of the way down; otherwise moderate wear. The back is much better. With a 3-reel sleeve from a later era. Reels: Light wear rings, a couple small stains on reel 1; reel 3 has a minor bend from a rough insertion but it doesn't affect operation; no bubbling.
