Description: This antique vise has been pulled apart and cleaned up and made fully functional. It's hard to capture the heft of this in pictures. The lead screw is over an inch and a half thick, that's thicker than any vise I've seen, even 8 inch 250lb vises. The vise opens to 11 inches and still has full engagement of the vise nut (which is 4.5 inches). Compare that to ANYTHING else out there... that is outstanding. I used some bills in the pictures for size reference (they are NOT included). The vise creates about 11,000 pounds of force by hand (I have a video of this on youtube under Reusefull). This also utilizes a hardtail style design where the pulling force is linear with the jaws engaged. 6 inch jaws, pipe jaws and built in pipe benders make this unique and useful. Patented in 1897, this is a couple of years old. The stand is included in the local purchase only.
