Description: I have for sale a New York Delegate medal for the 1912 Republican National Convention that was held at the Chicago Coliseum in Chicago, Illinois from Jun 18th to June 22nd. President William H. Taft was nominated for his second term as president, but he lost to Woodrow Wilson. The medal is 2 7/8 inches long and the top bar is 1 1/2 inches wide. The top pinback bar is blue enamel with gold trim and gold letters that read NEW YORK. There is a short blue ribbon attached to the bar. The bottom piece is gilded metal that is 1 1/4 inch in diameter and looks to be in original condition on the obverse. The obverse shows elements of the New York State seal with DELEGATE at the top and EXCELSIOR at the bottom. On the reverse it reads REPUBLICAN - NATIONAL - CONVENTION - CHICAGO - JUNE 18TH 1912. This side shows some wear. This medal was made by the Whitehead & Hoag company. Please see over 950 more collectibles for sale in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables. (19,100 TRRA)
