Description: Thank you for your interest in my auction. I am selling the following item: A Custom Tergrid, God of Fright Commander Deck: This is a commander deck built around Tergrid, God of Fright. It is for the Commander/EDH format and includes 100 cards. The Commander/EDH format is a singleton format meaning you can have no more than a single copy of any given card other than basic land in the deck. The deck’s commander is Tergrid, God of Fright and the other 99 cards in the deck are dedicated to forcing discards on your opponents and then punishing them for discarding. Tergrid, God of Fright’s main ability is going to immediately make it a target. Every time your opponents discard a permanent card you get to put it into play under your control! This is so powerful an effect that it can quickly overwhelm the table. Alternately; you can cast the flipside of Tergrid, God of Fright and put into play Tergrid’s Lantern. This is another way to win with the deck by repeatedly activating the lantern’s ability to force an opponent to discard cards or sacrifice permanents. This is a great way to close out the game once you dominate the table with reanimated permanents taken from your opponents. This deck can just wreck tables depending on how early you can land your commander and how many ways you have to force all of your opponents to discard. Standouts in the deck list include: Liliana of the Dark Realms, Liliana, Dreadhorde General, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Braids, Arisen Nightmare. This is just to name a few of the great cards in this deck. There are many other cards in the deck that are very powerful or have great utility in their own right. There are just too many to talk about in this brief description. See the decklist for detailed list of cards. Creatures: The creatures in the deck are aimed at ways to make your opponents discard. There are some powerful creatures like Banshee of the Dread Choir, Butcher of Malakir, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Urgoros, the Empty One. These all have great abilities or can help win games by themselves. But, once your commander is on the battlefield, cards like Burglar Rat and Elderfang Disciple may seem humble looking but can sometimes force discards of permanents which will allow your commander to put them onto the battlefield. And this will happen with every opponent! While these cards will not reliably put permanents into play for you cards like Chain Devil and Demon's Disciple will. Forcing every player to sacrifice a non-token permanent while your commander is in play can flip the entire board state in your favor leading to powerful wins. Even though you are forced to sacrifice as well, your commander’s ability will put into play your opponents sacrificing which will generally push you ahead in the race to victory. Spells: The deck’s spell suite includes forcing opponents to discard with cards like Unnerve. Again, with your commander on the table a single play like casting Unnerve can make the game so lopsided in your favor depending on the discards that your opponents may have trouble ever recovering from it. Even if you don’t net some permanents on your side you will be emptying their hands leaving them no answers while you advance your board state. The other cards make your enemies sacrifice their creatures. This creates opportunities for you to put more permanents into play. Casting Vona's Hunger with the city’s blessing will fill your battlefield with an army that used to belong to your enemies. Necrotic Hex will also destroy the battlefield state of your opponents while adding to your armies. Artifacts: The deck’s artifacts are mostly a mix of mana rocks and protection for your commander. Lightning Grieves and Swiftfoot Boots will provide protection for your commander. Cards like Arcane Signet and Sol Ring will help ramp up your mana. Enchantments: The enchantments in the deck are even more ways for you to win games. They will make your enemies discard and offer other ways to go wide, drain them of their life totals, or just smash them. Waste Not, Court of Ambition, and Quest for the Nihil Stone are alternate win conditions even while you are forcing your opponents to discard their hands while flooding the battlefield with their permanents. Even cards like Megrim and Raiders' Wake will just send damage straight to the face whenever your opponents discard. And they will be doing a LOT of discarding! Planeswalkers: Liliana of the Dark Realms, Liliana, Dreadhorde General, and Liliana, Heretical Healer who turns into Liliana, Defiant Necromancer are also in the deck to help you win games. They are so powerful that they can win games by themselves. But they really shine in this deck. They destroy creatures which you will then put into play with Tergrid, God of Fright. They force discards which can have the same effect. And they can even replace your commander with Liliana, Defiant Necromancer’s ultimate. Well, at least with creatures anyways. So if you like oppressing the table with overwhelming power, hand disruption, or winning games with your opponents cards then this deck is for you!
