Actress Peggy Lipton (1946-2019) was best known for her role as undercover cop Julie Barnes in the TV series The Mod Squad (1968-1973) and the 1979 made-for-television reunion movie. In 1970, she won a Golden Globe for her performance. Lipton was also nominated for the Golden Globe in in 1969, 1971, and 1972. Her other television work includes roles on The John Forsythe Show (1965-1966) and Twin Peaks (1990-1991), and guest appearances on a number of shows, including recurring roles on Popular (1999-2001) and Alias (2001-2006). As a singer, she put three songs on the Billboard charts: ("Stoney End", 1968; "Lu" and "Wear Your Love Like Heaven", 1970). WILLIAMS, (1939-2021) is probably best known as juvie-turned-cop Linc Hayes on The Mod Squad (1968-1973), a role that earned him a dubious nomination for Most Memorable Mane at the 2004 TV Land Awards. Williams got his acting on the stage, with three appearances on Broadway between 1960 and 1980, including a Tony-nominated performance as Randall in Slow Dance on the Killing Ground (1964-1965, 88 performances). He has over 90 movies and TV shows to his credit since 1959 (as of this biography). Some of his more memorable roles including Prince's father in Purple Rain (1984) and Roger Hardy on Twin Peaks (1990). Mystery fans may know Williams as Philby in the Mystery Woman TV movie series (2005-2007). COLE, born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1945, played Pete Cochran on The Mod Squad (1968-1973), a TV action series about three trendy young detectives, all serving probation for past crimes.
