Description: EXOTICALLY RARE ORIGINAL 1945 BELGIAN CONGO LOTTERY NOTE! This superb Colonial African banknote was issued by the Belgian Congo in 1945. Beautifully engraved in green and fuchsia on buff paper, it depicts a native mother and child flanked by a tribal urn and tropical produce. Primitive statues adorn the borders. The reverse, printed in red ink, displays the terms of the lottery in both Dutch and French (the front is only in Dutch). May have unprinted stub at left.
