Description: This amazing find is the best example of having an intact designer Plycraft Lawrence MASS label that I have found. For my 134 lb female frame it's a lovely little sit. Looks lovely, honest wear. The history of the Plycraft factory in Lawrence Massachusetts, the Cherner designer, this chair and the ensuing controversy / history is easy to research. The Cherner Chair, also occasionally referred to as the fictitious Bernardo chair, the Goldman chair ( in reference to Plycraft's owner) and after appearing on the Saturday Evening Post "the Rockwell" chair. That's quite a storied history full of designers and legal wrangling. After the Lawrence Mass warehouse fire all remaining stock was purchased by a Chicago entity. Unknown if this chair is pre or post fire. In this case, it's a gem of a find. Pictures are detailed and self explanatory. Condition is "as is" so look carefully.
