It includes six beautifully detailed classic car models: the 1910 Benz, 1912 Packard, 1909 Opel, 1909 Maxwell, 1911 Delaunay-Belleville, and 1911 Ford. The cars are in excellent condition, having been carefully stored in their original wooden presentation case. Condition: The wooden case, while overall in good condition, shows some minor wear on the corners, which can be seen in the provided photos. The locking mechanism functions with the key, and while the internal latch moves, it does not fully engage to lock the box. However, the box still closes securely but, as explained, does not lock. Further, there is minor damage to the top right hand corner of the perspex plate that sits above the vehicles (see images). This set comes complete with its original certificate of authenticity and a functional key. What makes this particular set special is that it is an early numbered set, being No. A1303 out of 50,000. Early numbers in a limited edition like this are often more desirable to collectors, adding an extra layer of appeal.
