Description: Description This model was planned as a new lineup model for Martin in 1976. It is made of the same material as the D-18, has a 28-style structure, and is finished with a brown-colored top.The sound is somewhere between the D-28 and D-18, with a tone slightly closer to the D-18.Unfortunately, it was not a commercial success, and only a small number were made, with production ceasing in the late 1980s.As a result, it is rarely available as a product these days, making it a very rare vintage.The sound is excellent, so it is rare and unlikely to be worn by anyone else, and I think it will be very satisfying to own.The top is spruce, the sides and back are mahogany, with a rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge.The pegs are original Grover and operate smoothly.The pickguard is original and has re-glued marks on the edges. There is a 20 cm hairline crack that has been repaired on the bottom of the back.The painted surface is clean and still has the luster of when it was new, so it is in very good condition for an instrument of this age.The neck is an SQ regular grip neck with a width of about 42.8 mm at the nut.The frets have been adjusted to be straight and are new, so you can use it for a long time in this condition.The 6th string is about 2.3 mm and the 1st string is about 1.6 mm at the 12th fret, making it a set that is easy to play at a fairly low position. It is smooth and well-balanced up to the high positions, and the pitch is stable.The box has a dry resonance, and while it has a light feeling like a D-18, it has a solid, voluminous bass sound and a glossy, core-like treble.The top structure is similar to the 28, but since it is a mahogany body, it does not have the heavy bass of the 28, and has a beautiful, granular, gorgeous sound.That said, it has a more powerful feel than the 18 and sounds great.
