Description Maple The Bear-1996 McDonald's Ty Beanie Baby With Rare Errors 1993 OakBrook Don't miss out on this rare and handsome bear. Maple was born July 1, 1996. His poem reads: "Maple the bear likes to ski, With his friends, he plays hockey. He loves his pancakes and eats every crumb Can you guess what country he's from?" Because Maple was not sold outside of Canada, he has been extremely hard to find. This white bear has black button eyes and a brown nose, and proudly wears a Canadian flag sewn on his chest. *Surface wash only*. Maple the Bear (rare) retired Teenie Beanie Baby with TAG ERRORS and date errors:*Tush tag errors - the box states that the birthday is July 1st 1996, but the tag says “1993” and this little bear was made in Oak Brook, Illinois, but his tag reads “OakBrook” (without the space). Maple was introduced January 1, 1997, but the box indicates that he was introduced February 27, 1997. *This is the only Maple bear retailed in the United States. Maple was exclusively a Ronald McDonald House Charity bear (see pictures). This belongs to 1 of 4 of the International Bears of 1996 (see my other listing for one of the other bears). There are two small flaps on the back of the box, and one of the small flaps has been slightly opened so that a picture could be taken of the tag for this listing. This bear has been stored on a plastic crate for 21 years, there are some signs of ware due to the age, but the condition is excellent and priced much lower than its value. The bear has never been out of the box or played with, and therefore it has held it value. Payment is due within 3 days of the auction ending or the item will be relisted.
