The 7/0 size is good for 8 to 9 inch trolling lures, suited for smaller tuna, mahi (dorado) etc. The 8/0 size is good for 9 to 10 inch trolling lures, suited for average sized tuna, mahi (dorado) and mackerels. The 9/0 size is good for 11 to 12 inch trolling lures, suited for average sized tuna, better than average sized mahi (dorado), wahoo, other mackerels and even smaller sailfish. For targeting any billfish sized over smaller sailfish and tuna larger than average size I'd recommend using forged hooks, which I also have available here on eBay.
