Description: This mid-20th century vintage bagpipe tutor book by Captain John MacLellan offers some very basic instruction and exercises, but is focused primarily on tunes.If you're just beginning the practice chanter, oneof the more recent tutor books would be more appropriate, but this book does have lots of material for the price. It includes Marches, Quicksteps, Strathspeys, Laments, Reels and Country Dances. It was entirely revised by Captain John MacLellan, M.B.E., Chief Instructor at the Army School of Piping at Edinburgh Castle. This was purchased from a closing music store, and is a photocopy of the book and appears to be complete. I never possessed the original book.
