Description: 1 quart bag of Wooly Boulder Forked Moss (Dicranum Vulvum) - mixed sizes. This is one tough moss. It will grow on rocks and performs well with Air Plants. It is a terrestrial moss - not aquatic. It has performed well with cushion moss in a terrarium. It is dark black-green at the base and medium green at the top. The leaves are similar to Frog Moss when damp but are dull and wooly as opposed to silky. Some people call it "Astroturf moss" when it is dry because it becomes dark green and resembles astroturf. This is a low-pile moss with a very thin substrate and it will arrive with all the soil that was attached to the bottom. Can be grown on rocks and pebbles. Mixes well with lichens and is often seen in nature with Pityrea. Pesticide free as always!
