Description: Go ahead and Google them, but there’s precious little to find on the internet because, well, the internet was still an infant when these came to market. I had a high-end audio/video custom install company on the east coast in the early 2000’s, and Kirksaeter Silverlines were my go-to for discerning audio hounds with a desire for something boutique. I had a 100% satisfaction rate. These were $1,200 when new (which is more than $2,000 in today's dollars,) so at under $400 they represent a ridiculous value.! No longer in production, this line of hand crafted German speakers from the early 2000s represents an uncompromising approach to hi-fi audio. Tested and in terrific working condition, these bookshelf speakers measure 15.5 tall x 9.25 wide x 9.5 deep and weigh in at a substantial 18 pounds each. Some scratches on the top and sides of the cabinets, but nothing compromising the integrity of their structure or sound. Please see photos for full details and don’t hesitate to ask any questions. My personal experience with these is a story of underappreciation on two fronts. These speakers were in a 23x16’ living room with tons of windows and laid-down sideways in close-quarters built-in bookshelves. In other words, parked in echo boxes in a room too large for them. Power was from an unbridged Russound R850, which pumps a clean (but measly) 35w per channel, and routed through an in-wall volume control. In other words, the cards were stacked against them. Still, the experience of sound in this setup nevertheless offered purity of vocals and all around accurate articulation. They even impressed my 15 year old daughter who isn't impressed by anything I'm associated with. But I sure do wish I had set them up for greater success with a better power source and in a more appropriate environment. Were I a single man, I would have put them in a smaller den and placed them on stands with an increased power source with no in-wall volume control in the middle. That was the first underappreciation. As for the second... I never should have mentioned adding a subwoofer, because it put the living room back in play in the eyes of my bride. Regrettably, she feels as though the speakers no longer fit the sensibilities of our home. Sure, I gave it some deliberation, but in the end, marriage is about give and take. My loss could be your gain.
