When inserted in the center opening, the straw will not loosely slide out and leakage will be minimal.All high quality materials are BPA-free and safe. Tips for Use and CareEnsure gasket is not twisted or out of alignment before pressing down. To ensure a full and proper seal during transport of tumbler, push the tab down all the way until it is flush against the lid. When opening, press down on tab to engage lock notch to prevent it from hitting your nose tip while drinking. When refilling tumbler with straw already inserted, keep tab open or remove straw before pressing down on lid. If tab is closed, fluid may squirt out of straw due to vacuum seal.The lid will no longer be leak-proof when the straw is inserted into center vent plug hole but splashing will be minimal. The straw can be inserted in either opening on the 30oz size lids but the center hole offers the most splash control. The 20oz lid only allows the straw to be inserted in the center hole.All items are top rack dish washer safe. Straw may be placed in the utensil rack.
