Description: This is an authentic original antique (early 20th century) large solid oak barrel with eight iron bands. Condition is good; it is solid and sturdy and all barrel staves and top and bottom panel are tight, but a few of the iron bands are loose and tend to fall off if not pushed snugly in place. Both top and bottom panel are a little rippled from age and have some heavy staining, and the ends of the barrel staves have some heavier wear. The bands have acquired some surface rust, and the entire barrel has a weathered appearance. This piece really has a lot of character and would be wonderful as a table base or other eyecatching piece. The barrel measures 17" in diameter x 23" H and will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping. Please provide a street address for shipping as this will not be delivered to a PO Box.
