No chips or cracks. This exquisite 6 1/4" Japanese plate by Koshida is a true collector's item. The delicate porcelain has been masterfully hand-painted with vibrant, multi-color motifs that showcase the region's rich cultural heritage. I believe this plate is an antique original dating back to the late 19th century, and is a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship of Japanese artisans. A gold painted mark of Koshida was found on a pair of late 19th century vases, which looks very similar to the marking on this plate. Many of the other plates I've seen have a gold painted mark on a red sticker. I cannot guarantee the age of the plate as I am not a professional appraiser.
