Description: PIC Based Iambic Keyer With Memory - Kit build version. DescriptionThis keyer kit is for Iambic (paddle) keys and comprises a small footprint PCB (1 & 6/8" (44 mm) wide x 2 & 2/8" (58 mm) long) with key jacks for the paddle and connection to the transmitter. Features and memory are accessed by means of the three push buttons mounted on the front of the PCB. The Command (Cmd) button accesses the Command menu, which allow the speed to be raised or lowered (by use of the paddles), Tune, beacon and Iambic A/B modes. Once in command mode all functions are controlled by sending Morse characters via the paddles. Please note the keyer transistor can only key modern solid state transmitters, not older tube based units.The Keyer features 2 memories which are accessed by the other 2 buttons (one for each memory). a. Approx speed range of the key is 6 - 45 WPM in 31 steps - At power on it defaults to 15 WPM.b. Memory one has a capacity of approx 63 charactersc. Memory Two has a capacity of approx 55 characters The built in Piezo buzzer allows for solo practice, but its low volume prevents its use as a training key. Solder pads are available for adding a powered speaker (computer speaker), and the piezo can be disabled by moving the piezo header, this is useful if the transmitter side tone is preferred.
