Description: Slater Postcard Dutch Boy Glasses 1914 Can't tell midout feeling posted Keokuk This whimsical and risque card was sent to my late grandmother in Montrose, Iowa from a cousin in Keokuk, Iowa. Card has a drawing by Slater of a Dutch boy. Card is copyrighted 1913 by Walker's Post Card Shop, Rochester, N.Y. The young man is wearing traditional country Dutch garb and round wire glasses. The sentiment reads:"Mein eyesight is sopoor dot I can't tellsilk from lislemidoudt feeling!" One cent stamp was canceled September 25, 1914 in Keokuk, Iowa. Normal handling wear to edges and corners. Light surface soiling. Postmark stripes on front. Corner creases to lower left and upper right. Yellowing to reverse.
