An English artist during the late 17th century and early 18th century, he was considered one of the three foremost painters of his time. He primarily painted portrait paintings. He was the master of prominent artists Thomas Hudson and George Knapton. Condition Report: Very Good Condition for its age, painting was conserved and re-lined around 1984.
