Description: Kyosho 1:18 1963 Le Mans Ferrari 250 GTO. This car won the Grand Touring 3000 class and placed second overall in the 1963 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Entrant for this race was the Belgium team Equipe Nationale Belge. This team raced Formula One and Sports Cars in the 50’s and 60’s and was the resulting merger of Jacques Swaters (Team Ecurie Francorchamps) and Johnny Claes (Team Ecurie Belge). Jacques Swaters (1926-2010) was a non works driver who raced from 1951-54 for Talbot-Lago, Ferrari and Gordini before forming and managing his own team. Included in this offering is a rare Jacques Swaters signed plaque obtained from Marshall Buck of Creative Miniature Associates Inc. Long sold out, this model and rare signed plaque would be impossible to duplicate today.
