IVER JOHNSON, single shot, 2 & 3/4" Chamber, 12 Gauge, added metal vent rib, silver finish, 30" long, smoothbore, shotgun barrel w/ fixed light full choke. I checked the chamber using my chamber depth gauges. This was either a later barrel, or someone has had the chamber depth increased to the current 2 & 3/4" standard size. Serial Number is 20581 "E". You can see the original Iver Johnson barrel stamping "BARREL AND LUG FORGED IN ONE" on top of the barrel, and partially obscured by the aftermarket metal vent rib (see pic 8). Muzzle measures .700", or LIGHT FULL Choke constriction. Blued finish was removed by a previous owner, and the barrel was buffed to silver color BEFORE the metal rib was installed. See above for a detailed description. Bore is shiny, has some barely visible light spotting that I have not attempted to remove. This would be a great barrel for your trap shooting, turkey hunting, goose & duck hunting, rabbit hunting, upland game hunting, or other small game hunting needs.
