Description: Up for sale here is this extremely rare vintage Heathkit GW-11A CB radio transceiver unbuilt kit. This is not 100% complete, though it is very close. It is missing the two tube shields/covers and the 6AN8 tube and 6GH8 tube. I do not know if the RCA 5763 tube is original to the kit. The chassis has a few parts assembled on it--I'm guessing the previous owner started, got a little into it, and stopped. There may be other parts missing, and there may be a few extra parts in here as well. Physical condition of everything is extremely good. Look at how shiny the knobs are! These are some of the best-condition Heathkit knobs in existence. Look at that microphone! Absolutely gorgeous. The metal bottom cover has very light wear on the nubs where the feet would go, and the top cover may have very light wear as well. There are 2 tubes and 2 tube covers missing, and there might be other parts missing, but I do not know. There may be extra parts included as well--there are some phenolic wafer tube sockets there, but the chassis already has all the sockets in there. Some random little bits of hardware might be missing as well--there were nuts, bolts, and washers scattered in the box, and I tried to track them all down and put them in a plastic bag, but a few might be missing. I didn't check all the tubes, but I pulled out the 6C4 and it's a beautiful original Heathkit. I'm assuming the others are correct as well. There are two little packs of Heathkit solder, as well as one empty packet. There is a lot of paperwork here, which might have come with the kit originally, but I don't know. Lots of "learn ham radio and get your license!" stuff. Most of the paperwork, including the assembly manual, is folded in half. The manual might have some writing in it, I didn't think to check. The box has a decent amount of wear and is torn on one side (see last pic). I have provided a LOT of pictures, so please take a close look at all of them so you can see what you're getting. I will pack all of this up very carefully so nothing gets damaged in shipping, and I will use a larger box for everything so the original box is not used as the actual shipping box. This is sold as non-working, since those 60-year-old capacitors will probably not test good. Please note that the box and manual say "GW-11A," but the faceplate says "GW-11."
