Gilbert American Flyer S Gauge #312 Smoke-in-Tender Pacific Locomotive & Tender

Description: This one offers a Gilbert American Flyer S gauge #312 Pacific 4-6-2 locomotive and tender. This one features smoke-in-tender and has a brass weighted link coupler. This one also has brass buttons on the underside of the chassis. The engine runs well in both directions, and the e-unit cycles and functions fairly consistently. The smoke unit works, but every so often needs a light tap on the tender to help to get it going. The smoke unit produced a decent amount of smoke when running. The brass power pickup wheels could use a good polishing. There is a small piece of paper between the boiler front and shell to help keep the boiler front in place (these are commonly loose). Finally, the smoke tube is directly next to the reverse lockout lever (you can see what I am talking about on the overhead view of the boiler). This pushes the lever in the unlocked position kind of like it is on a spring. This can be remedied, but I didn't want to over-handle the piece as to keep the patina the way it is. TCA #97-45581.
