Description: Amazing 1970's Geoffrey Beene floor length jacquard and lurex mock neck gown in an oyster/ivory/silver color. The dress features peasant style long sleeves that snap close. Front yoke with silver metallic thread, which is also in a striped pattern in bottom skirt portion of dress. The fan or oyster shape pattern features an open silver metallic thread weave. And the fan shape is 3-bands satin, 2 shiny satin and one band is "frayed". Dress has a mock neck with 3 eye hook closures and a hidden back zipper. Empire waist with gathered pleat seaming at the waist. Dress is fully lined with feels like a poly lining. Sleeves are lined in sheer organza fabric and the skirt features an organza tulle underlay as well. There is some yellowing inside the dress along the neck, armpits, cuffs and around some of the interior seams. Also stain on the inside lining. (shown in images) Hem does need to be restitched in one area. Despite this, the dress on the exterior is fully intact and is an amazing Geoffrey Beene piece, originally worn as a wedding dress.
