Description: A hard to find, genuine antique Edwardian ladies riding hat. A real equestrian hat, made for horse riding. Made by one of the finest men's hatters of the day, KNOX New York. Made the exact same way and same materials as a man's top hat. Sturdy and lusterous silk plush, known as hatter's plush, in dark ink black, with a wide brim and deep crown. Gorgeous equestrian silk satin lining with a drawstring style pocket all around for your hair to tuck in, and gold gilt maker's stamps. Edged in black grosgrain on the brim, and the hat band is black grosgrain with a side bow. The facing (underside) of the brim is black silk velvet. SIZE is a fabulous extra large! Making this an even more rare find. Inside circumference is 24' around. Great for wearing over your Edwardian hair style. A wonderful gift for yourself or for someone you love for the holidays!
