DESCRIPTION Gabriel Yared / Nina Scott and Lawlessness / Rambo - “Invintation Au Voyage Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” Varèse Sarabande Records STV 81189 (Stereo) from 1983. Hard to find 1983 First Pressing Original Soundtrack from the Peter Del Monte Movie Starring Laurent Malet, Aurore Clement and Mario Adorf. Music by Gabriel Yared with the exceptions of “Don’t Follow Me” which is performed by Nina Scott and Lawlessness and “Assassin” performed by Rambo. Beyond that all music is performed by Yared with Trumpet played by Nassim Malouf. In the Original Cover with NO Cutouts, Promo markings or Barcode! Pressed on Black Vinyl which is Translucent Purple when held before a bright light - probably an Audiophile Vinyl like Quiex II or perhaps more likely KC 569 Blend Premium Virgin Vinyl by KM Records since there is “KM” in the runout vinyl. CONDITION The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some slight basic shelf wear and corner softening. Still very solid with no writing, splits, stains, tears, cutouts, etc. and I would rate it as at least VG and maybe VG+. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking lightly played. If you look closely you can spot a couple light scuffs. Mostly plays Near Mint but there are a couple areas of very slight groove / surface noise and a few soft tics. I think EX is a fair grade overall but mostly plays better and may just need a more thorough cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The Labels are Near Mint. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
