Description: Okay, this is a convince me to sell this one. It's not that I don't like this piece, I really, really do, but I have a ton of others and I'm really trying not to be the first kimono hoarder to die to a silk avalanche. This piece is really, really awesome; the design work is AWESOME; this doesn't look at all the standard kurofurisode for wedding, it's super distinct. Great art work on the cranes; they're absolutely fantastical; I really love the artistic license taken with them, and I especially like the fact the artist really tried to render their legs like real cranes versus drawing a couple lines and being like 'EH GOOD ENOUGH,' like most cranes are rendered. This is firmly some early Showa decadence. Probably 1935 at the earliest; it could possibly be from right up and before the full shutdown right before Japan surrendered. This piece does have some small imperfections; there's a number of small stains but they do well to get lost in how busy this piece is. There's only one section of what I would call 'bad' staining on the breast, but it's still not as half as bad as some rode-hard Geisha hikizuri I've handled. This looks like the piece got wet on wearing; just a dribble of something to upset the paints and dyes and even tick off the momi underneath; it's not a 'dirty' stain; like I said, I think this was just straight up water. The mon have been replaced at one point; they are currently Myouga ( Ginger ) but were previously Tsuta ( Ivy ); hold the piece up to light; looking through the inside of the lining and you'll see clearly the old crests underneath the 'kamon patches.' Some of the couching could use a stitch or three. This furisode does classify as hikifurisode; it is meant to trail. Measurements on this piece are REALLY good. I would say this one is still wearable for someone who isn't picky. Lining is REALLY good; there's no pulls even up in the neck area; I normally see SOME separation here, especially on pieces that have been obviously been worn a few times ( and this piece definitely was worn by a couple different brides! ). No rips. No tears. No holes. No smells. Measurements are listed below. If you're looking for a flat measurement to wear as a robe or cardigan; please multiple the backwidth by 2 and that will give you your flat pit to pit measurement to some extent beyond this; the kimono is adjustable; but I get a plethora of people looking for a robe and don't understand that traditional kimono is not like a western garment in having chest-waist-hip measurements; it is all straight up and down. Thank you for understanding. Length: 170cmYuki: 63cmSleeve length: 110cmFrontwidth: 23cm Backwidth: 28cm I only ship within the continental US + Alaska + Hawaii. I cannot ship to APO/military bases overseas. I do not deal with customs forms at all, this is just a side thing I do for enjoyment, and international shipping just gives me really big anxiety. I also do not have a printer and overseas prepaid labels require a printer and cannot be generated with a QR code which is how I ship all my packages via USPS. Thank you for understanding.
