Description: Estate found cavalry sword. Hilt marked F. A. (Fabrica Armas) over 1897 over 6916 serial number. This sword is like a high-quality version of the British M 1821 L.C. troopers’ sword. Featured 870mm slightly curved blade has a thick crown spine above a wide, three-quarter length fuller; no blade markings. The last 260mm is double-edged with an unsharpened upper edge. The blade is in nice condition with pitting at the ~100mm point. The blade has not been sharpened. Complete with original iron scabbard with a single suspension ring, and no markings. The scabbard overall good condition with single dent and missing screw. The sword sheathes and draws smoothly. See detailed pictures.
