Description: Welcome to Ashantee Music!Matching Exceptional Students With Quality Instruments Near-perfect Conn 88H open-wrap trigger trombone! Technically a large bore tenor trombone, it is very often used especially in high school programs as a bass trombone, and is probably the most popular pro tenor ever made. It is in near-perfect condition: lacquer about 99.9% intact with little if any wear at all. I wouldn’t call any used horn “perfect,” but I can find no dings, damage or repairs. It is an absolutely gorgeous horn cosmetically. Slide is similar in appearance and function—fast and smooth with no resistance at all. Note that this horn does not have spring barrels—I know they quit putting them in at some point, or they may have been replaced with cork by the prior owner as is often the case. All tuning slides are free. 88H eras are a pain to pin down, but this has s/n 1076XX on the bell section and B47XX on the slide. Slide oil and tuning slide grease are for local pickup only, but it does include a Conn 5G mouthpiece and cleaning rod. All in the original case which like the rest of the horn is in exceptional condition. MSRP $5,058, selling new at WWBW for $3,329, so save about $2,300, and snatch up the nicest one you’ll find on the used market! If you have any questions or concerns about a listing, please ask questions prior to bidding. Photographs are considered a binding part of an item description.Shipping: Items are shipped after receipt and clearance of your payment. We try to ship far ahead of the handling time listed in the auction. Note that with international shipping, not all countries provide door-to-door tracking; therefore, buyer assumes full liability for item after leaving the United States.Returns: We have zero unhappy customers, and we have offered hassle-free returns for almost twenty years. Unfortunately, due to rampant abuse of eBay's automated returns, and since PayPal no longer refunds sales fees, we have had to revise our return policy. (1) If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us PRIOR to initiating a return via eBay and allow us to address your concerns. Many items such as clarinets and oboes come out of adjustment during the shipping process, and can be easily tweaked by your local technician. We are happy to talk you through this process. (2) Items may be returned for any reason at your expense within seven days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping and eBay fees, which are not refundable. If on receipt we are able to verify the item to be significantly different than described, we will additionally refund original shipping, PayPal fees, and your return shipping to maximum of $30.00. Non-paying Bidders: We reserve the right to relist or otherwise dispose of any item if payment is not received with three days of the auction close.
