Romain de Tirtoff (23 November 1892 – 21 April 1990) was a Russian-born French artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erte, from the French pronunciation of his initials. He was a 20th century artist and designer in an array of fields, including fashion, jewelry, graphic arts, costume and set design for films, theater, opera and interior décor (from Wikipedia). Up for sale is Erte The Celestial Virtues - Wisdom Framed Art Card measuring 18" x 16" x 2" (the measurement of the frame). I purchased this piece from California Auction Services in El Toro, California back in the late 1990's and it was hanging in my master bedroom for many years. I sold my large house and downsized to a small condo so am selling most of my Erte that I have collected over many years. It is a beautiful FRAMED ART CARD, there is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) on the back of the frame. It is not numbered, as it is an art card. The frame has a few small dings in it from my move and shows a little bit of cosmetic wear but in otherwise GOOD CONDITION! It is a very beautiful piece and if you have wall space for another piece of Erte in your home, I am sure you will love it (as I have for many years)!!! I am selling it for a fraction of what I paid for it, just looking for a good home for my Erte pieces!
