If your truck has been RUNING GREAT but, has STARTED MISSING OR is HARD TO START, (You do not need to rebuild your injectors. You only need to install THIS shim Kit.) Because you have LOW ARMATURE TO ADAPTER HOUSING CLEARANCE causing a stiction affect. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS CAUSING INJECTORS TO STOP WORKING!!!From a Satisfied Customer New message from: treemanfrom57 (52)The shim kit arrived. I installed it. Every one of my injectors were a tight .002. I shimmed them all with one .004 shim. And .005 under the solenoid. The truck runs like it has not in years. Amazing!!! I have had it in diesel specialty shops more that three times, spent thousands and not one expert suggested this. I have spent countless hours reading discussion forums before I stumbled across your work. Thank you thank you thank you! Keep up the good work!THIS IS THE ORIGINAL SHIM KIT OVER 3000 KITS SOLD AND OVER 25 KITS PERSONALLY INSTALLED NOT A CHINA KNOCK OFF (COPY OF MY KIT) WITH BLACK AND WHITE COPYS plagiarized OF MY OLD instructions This KIT can get your injectors to what they were when new of .004" to .005" any time. Even when stock injectors have some of them that have been replaced with newer Injectors. Or have been rebuilt. This kit will make your truck start faster cold and run with more power and EXTEND the life of your injectors up to 200K miles more; by renewing the armature plate clearance to .004" to,005". like new injectors. WITHOUT REMOVING YOUR INJECTORS. Over 3000 kits sold. This Dual-purpose kit will allow you to shim one set of Injector no matter what your Armature clearances are FROM INSTRUCTIONS If You have a tight .002” or less then add a .004” Armature Shim and then add a .005” Solenoid shim. (.002” & .003”). If you have a loose .002” or above add a .002” Armature Shim and .003” Solenoid Shim. My Kits are made in the USA with 20 years of experience Shimming and Working on my fleet of Power Strokes and shipped in the USA (Other Sellers' are not the same They are just China Knock-offs of my shim kit with hard to read photocopies of my instructions and are from China (They do not pay US Taxes) without .002"armature shims. With the wrong tools to install shims and weaker China Hardware store Screws. Theirs are shipped to the USA with Smart Post E-Commerce Shipping from China)Check out YouTube: Replacing the Ford diesel 7.3 injector o-rings and installing an injector shim kit, tune up kit. Shims make your injectors last longer. You want to shim what it takes to get over a .004" clearance under the armature. New they are over .004"and under .005" But, you must put the same thickness + .001" of shims (plus .001" for poppet valve up-stop wear) under the solenoids to keep the armature from hitting the solenoids. The important clearance is between the solenoid and the armature when the solenoid is energized. The clearance Must be keep close to .003" plus or minus .001" to work right: which is hard to measure without energizing the solenoid. When new they were .003". Shim kit will fix that in just a couple of hours, WITHOUT removing injectors. Your truck will have more power and start faster like new injectors. The Shim kit can make your truck run like it did 100,000 miles ago, and make you injectors last 150K - 200K miles longerMost injectors do not need internal rebuild NO NEED TO REMOVE INJECTORS OR BUY NEW INJECTORS Kit Works on HEUI injectors; 1994 - 2003 Ford 7.3L PowerStroke, International T444E / DT466e / 1530E. Also works on Cat 3126B top solenoid, International Perkins 4.5L, 6.0L, & 1300edi HEUI injectors. Will do up to TEN (10) INJECTORS, can add 100k to 200k miles to your old injectors WITHOUT REMOVING THEM and can also be done when injectors are removed for O-ring replacement or repair. Makes you injectors last up to 200k longer (NO NEED TO BUY NEW INJECTORS). IT WILL NOT FIX INJECTORS WITH BAD SOLENOID, O-rings OR OTHER MECHANICAL PROBLEMS!! Easy step by step instructions for the do-it-yourself person to install. Also Instruction to remove valve covers, pull injectors for O-ring replacement and reinstall No need to buy new injectors. Or remove injectors to install. KIT COMES WITH: 1. Packets of TEN+ .004" and TEN+ .002" (one required per injector) special stainless-steel washers. TO BE INSTALLED UNDER THE ARMATURE PLATE TO INCREASE THE CLEARANCE BACK TO over .004" to .005" (like new injectors) 2. Packets of FOURTY + .002" and FOURTY +.003" stainless steel SOLENOID SPACER SHIMS, placed under all four corners of the solenoid, to increase the Solenoid to armature clearance back to over stock, when Solenoid is energized. To keep the armature plate from hitting the Solenoid and setting a code after shimming. WHEN YOU SHIM THE ARMATURE .004", YOU NEED TO SHIM THE SOLENOID WITH .005" OF SHIMS WHICH IS .001" OVER WHAT YOU INSTALLED UNDER THE ARMATURE BECAUSE OF POPPET VALVE UP WEAR. 3.
