Dual-band five-port Gigabit OpenWrt router on Luxul XWR-3150 hardware

Description: FOR SALE: Luxul XWR-3150 five-port Gigabit router/firewall running OpenWrt. Originally, the device was a wireless router with controller functions for Luxul access points, as well as a platform for the delivery of subscription-based network security services. We repurposed it into a generalist standalone router and firewall by installing and configuring OpenWrt, an open-source operating system for networking equipment. To test the device and make it work right out of the box, we made a few changes to the initial OpenWrt configuration. A detailed configuration note will be provided to the buyer. Alternatively, the buyer could simply reset the software to its initial state. The device runs on a Broadcom chipset (ARMv7 processor) with 512 MB of RAM and a 512 MB of Flash storage. There are four Gigabit LAN ports in a switch configuration, a single Gigabit WAN port, and two radios providing AC (5 GHz) and N (2.4 GHz) wireless connectivity. The device is implemented in a desktop form factor. The case is two-tone (black top over grey bottom) plastic. The device is passively cooled and completely silent. The device is in good physical condition, with a few scratches consistent with normal use (please review the photos; note that we are listing several identical devices one after another, so the device pictured may or may not be the device you receive, although the photos are representative of the condition of all devices in the series).
