This comprehensive reference work is an invaluable resource for biblical studies, covering a wide range of topics. Condition:With the exception of a partial separation of the front endpaper in one volume, the text pages of the volumes are in good to very good condition. They may exhibit some small signs of wear, but there are no tears present on the pages. All pages and leaves are intact, and there do not appear to be any dog-eared pages. Each volume features a pencil marking on the inside front cover indicating that the volume was a gift, and the previous owner's name is stamped in blue ink on the flyleaf of each volume. Besides these notations, there is no other writing on the pages. The covers show shelf wear and are in fair condition, with the head of the spine of each volume exhibiting substantial shelf wear, including noticeable fraying and exposed board edges. This suggests that the books have been repeatedly pulled from the shelf by the top edge, which is not unusual for books of this age (over 130 years old). One lower rear cover corner of one volume has a bend. Overall, the bindings are mostly intact but may be slightly loosened in places due to age.
