THE 1944 VERSION IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT WAS PUT OUT BY THE MARIAN FATHERS FROM STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS ONLY A FEW SHORT YEARS AFTER ST. FAUSTINA DIED. THERE ARE ALSO MULTIPLE VERSIONS OF THE CHAPLET IN VARIOUS LANGUAGES THAT ARE ALSO THE SAME AS THESE TWO VERSIONS. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? YOU ARE PROBABLY FAMILIAR WITH THE PORTION OF THE PRAYER THAT IS PRONOUNCED ON THE SMALL BEADS OF THE ROSARY. IT IS KNOWN AS "For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have Mercy on us and on the whole world." THIS VERSION GOES LIKE THIS; "Through the most sorrowful passion of Jesus, have Mercy on us and on the whole world." WHILE BOTH VERSIONS ARE THEOLOGICALLY CORRECT AND IN THE MOST COMMON VERSION THE REFERENCE TO JESUS IS IMPLIED BY "His", THIS OLDER VERSION ACTUALLY MENTIONS THE NAME OF "Jesus" EACH TIME WE PRAY ON THE SMALL BEADS. SO WHAT DOES IT MEAN AND WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT? WE KNOW FROM THE BIBLE THAT EVERY KNEE BOWS AT THE NAME OF JESUS IN HEAVEN, ON EARTH AND UNDER THE EARTH. YES, THIS MEANS ALL DEMONS AND FALLEN ANGELS IN HELL WILL BOW AT HIS HOLY NAME. ALL HELL TREMBLES AT HIS NAME. THEREFORE, IT IS NOT SURPRISING THAT IF THE ENEMIES OF THE CHURCH HAVE ALTERED THIS PRAYER, THEY DID NOT WANT US TO INVOKE THE NAME OF JESUS 50 TIMES EVERY DAY. AFTER ANALYZING DIFFERENT SOURCES AND HISTORICAL RECORDS, WE CONCLUDED THAT IT IS FAR BETTER TO KEEP THE VERSION THAT MENTIONS JESUS BY NAME MAKING THE PRAYER MUCH MORE POWERFUL. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH OUR CONCLUSION PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE OUR HOLY CARDS AS THEY DO NOT CONFORM TO THE MAINSTREAM PRAYER. We created a new image of the Divine Mercy that is more true to the original message dictated by Jesus to Saint Faustina. The differences are that Jesus is looking slightly down instead of directly at the viewer. The rays are coming out more toward the viewer than the ground. Jesus' right hand is below His shoulder and not above as in other representations except for the original painting. The eyes are blue. But most importantly the head of Jesus is a 3D rendition based on the Shroud of Turin which means it is the most realistic Divine Mercy image in the world. It is possible that our version more closely resembles the vision of Saint Faustina as she was never happy with the original painting. This version is also available in prints of various sizes. The card has been digitally designed and handcrafted in the United States. The image has been digitally enhanced. It is one of our most special and unique prayer cards. The frame of the card has been specially designed depicting the crown of thorns in gold and white roses embedded in it.
