Description: FOR SALE: Linksys WRT1900AC five-port Gigabit router with dual-band Wi-Fi running DD-WRT. This is one of the earliest of Linksys WRT AC models. The device runs on a Marvell Armada XP MV78230 processor (dual-core, 1.3 GHz) with 256 MB RAM and 128 MB of Flash storage. Wireless networking (two radios, 2.4 and 5.0 GHz) is handled by a Marvell 88W8864 chip. The four external antennas are detachable. The device is implemented in a desktop form factor. The case is two-tone (blue and black) plastic. The device is running DD-WRT, an open-source operating system for networking equipment. The device is actively cooled. Under normal operating conditions, the fan is whisper-quiet if not off altogether. The fan profile under DD-WRT is much less aggressive compared to stock firmware (meaning, the fan kicks in much earlier and maintains much lower temperature of the device compared to the stock firmware). Further, under DD-WRT, fan settings are adjustable; the administrator can set "on" and "off" temperature thresholds. The device is in very good physical condition (please review the photos; note that we are listing several identical devices in a row, so the device pictured may or may not be the device you receive, although the photos are representative of the condition of all devices in the series). A power supply is included.
