Description: Prolific daylilies have flowers that stand 20" tall. These are freshly dug plants with 2 fans. These plants tolerate the coldest winters in New England and our "wicked hot" heat waves. Fans are trimmed to 14" when necessary to fit in our shipping container. Apricot stripped bloom is 5" wide on 24"-26" tall scapes. Here in the Boston area they typically bloom in late July. These plants NEED the chill of winter to rest for the coming spring. You are purchasing two fans that may be separate or attached to the root system/rhizome. They are shipped bare root. As you can see in the root images the fans are usually connected but have their own developed root systems. The plants I am shipping are emerging from winter dormancy. They do not have all the very thin "hair" roots as shown in the root images. They are substantial tubers with emerging fan tips.
