Description: Rare early original vintage gelatin silver photograph shows two men standing outside their miners cabin inspecting gold bars. Photographer’s credit at bottom right reads, “Cantwell”. (see scan). After doing some research I found a similar photograph with information stated above in a special library collection. George Cantwell, famous photographer of the Northwest, was activei in Dawson, Yukon in 1901 and published “The Kondike, A Souvenir” in 1901. This is a vintage photograph and not a copy or reproduction. Photograph measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches and is in good condition with tack holes at the corners and with bend at bottom right corner (see scans). Back has caption I found of another similar photo.
