Dave Brubeck Quartet-Time Out-Columbia CS 8192 Original Factory-Sealed/New NOS!!

Description: Why buy a first or early pressing and not a re-issue or a re-mastered vinyl album? First and early pressings are pressed from the first generation lacquers and stampers. They usually sound vastly superior to later issues/re-issues (which, in recent times, are often pressed from whatever 'best' tapes or digital sources are currently available) - many so-called 'audiophile' new 180g pressings are cut from hi-res digital sources, essentially an expensive CD pressed on vinyl. So, with modern reissues, much of the time, the only thing Analogue about the issue is that it?s pressed on vinyl as the recording &/or mastering is digital. Most modern studios use Pro Tools or similar All-Digital format; again, the recording or mastering is Digital, not Analogue. Why experience the worse elements of both formats? These are just High Maintenance CDs, with mid-ranges so cloaked with a veil as to sound smeared. They are nearly always compressed with murky transients and a general lifelessness in the overall sound. There are exceptions where re-masters/re-presses outshine the original issues, but they are exceptions and not the norm. First or early pressings nearly always have more immediacy, presence and dynamics. The sound staging is wider. Subtle instrument nuances are better placed with more spacious textures. Balances are firmer in the bottom end with a far-tighter bass. Upper-mid ranges shine without harshness, and the overall depth is more immersive. Inner details are clearer, the music tends to sound more alive and vibrant and you 'hear' what the mixing and mastering engineers wanted you to hear when they first recorded the music. Record Grading Mint - unopened / un-played, often still in shrink-wrap or has not been removed from the jacket. The sleeve is pristine condition, looks new. NM (Near Mint) The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete. The sleeve may have very light corner wear, the odd small dent / line. EX (Excellent) very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or tiny signs of use generally. VG+ will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature ( A little rub, slight scuffs, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle.) Sleeve will show some wear such as light creases but will be in-tact. There may be light ring wear / discolouring. VG marks or scuffs may be felt by finger-tip touch, Light pops and clicks, an edge split, light visible scratches. may be evident as will background noise. Generally these will not over-power the sound quality but are present. Sleeves may have seam splits, more significant wear / ring-wear / discolouring GOOD+/GOOD - Can be played through without skipping. But will likely have significant surface noise, 'ticks' scratches, and visible groove wear. Sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. Photos are of the actual item- $2.00 shipping charge per additional LP (if shipping to Continental USA). Just add all items to the Ebay cart and purchase- you will likely be overcharged but the difference will be refunded after transaction completed and payment posted. Please contact us before leaving any neutral or negative feedback, or, even initiating a return. We strive for satisfied buyers! Factory Sealed/New Album, New Old Stock (NOS), Columbia Stereo issue. As album is sealed, the exact pressing iteration is unknown. DISC: MINT UNPLAYED. SALE CONDITIONS FOR NEW OLD STOCK SEALED RECORDS WE CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF SEALED RECORDS. This sealed record is sold as a collectible and not necessarily a playing copy. Its premium price is based on the fact that it is still sealed after all these years. Please consider this carefully before you open up a new old stock sealed record. Although rare occurrences, we cannot be responsible for pressing defects, warps or any other factory errors as this title is no longer returnable to the distributor for a replacement or refund. We accept no returns of opened product under any circumstances. The higher value of sealed old stock LPs is usually due to collectors wanting to keep, and not open, original issues. Opening the seal changes the intrinsic nature and value of the object, the same as would apply to still sealed blister-packed/boxed collectable toys. Open copies of the same LPs are not worth as much to serious collectors because they then become far more common, however good the condition of the disc or sleeve. Our sealed records are described TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY, but are sold only as stated on an 'As Is' basis. If you are purchasing this title to open and play, it is not returnable under any circumstances. This title is new old stock from the original period of the album's release. It is not a recent repress or reissue, but as it is sealed we cannot confirm which pressing plant or label design it has, and it is offered for sale on that basis. Please notify us with your payment if you want us to open this sealed record and check the merchandise before we ship it. This would prevent seam splits (the disc breaking through the spine of the cover in transit) that can occur as part of the shipping process. We always pack carefully, but the only sure way to prevent seam splits in transit is to remove the record from the cover before packing it, which we do with all non-sealed records. At the buyer’s request, we will open a sealed record. Unless the buyer requests that the sealed record be opened and packed in this manner, we are not liable for any seam splits that may occur in transit. DISC: MINT UNPLAYED.
