Escudo Nacional de México, (National Shield of Mexico), a Mexican Golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. This is a larger, heavier, silver and gold tone metal buckle with a tooled scroll design, marked: GP/SP, made by Award Design Medals, in the 1980s-90s. It is in pretty decent used condition, as shown in the photos it does have some staining, some tarnish / patina, and some wear and tear from age and use. It measures approximately 3-7/8" x 2-7/8", fits a 1-1/2" wide belt and weighs about 5.8 oz.
