Description: This is a large and lovely decorative Chinese cinnabar red vase. Measuring approximately 18" tall x 10" wide and deep. Weight is nearly 9 pounds. This vase is made of resin but has the convincing look of real cinnabar lacquer. This piece is vintage but looks antique. Actual age is unknown. My best guess would be vintage late mid century 1970ish. Decorated with traditional Chinese landscape and figural scenes. High relief "carvings" all over the outside of the vase. Even the semi gloss finish expertly mimics real cinnabar. The interior and bottom of the vase is brass and aluminum. One small chip on the bottom rim was the giveaway, revealing the white resin that this piece is made of. This chip is the only damage that I see to this vase.
