Description: Made in USSRWooden chess set from 1954 in good vintage condition (stamp preserved).- An excellent vintage gift for men and lovers of good vintage chess.------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mordovian SSR, Yavas village "Tempromkominat", plant No. 5 First grade (the stamp was preserved).They are popularly called the Star "Star", they are highly valued among chess fans and are considered a rarity.- The village of Yavas, founded in 1921 as the center of a rapidly expanding POW camp system,was called Temlag (Temnikovsky camp), later Dubravlag (Dubravny camp). In 1931 a timber processing plant with two sawmills was built.Subsequently, the sawn timber plant switched to the production of furniture and consumer goods.- Remember, these are old chess, despite their age they are in good condition. Since the chess set is about 70 years old, there are some scuffs on the paintwork, which only emphasizes its vintage look, on the red queen, part of the upper rim has been restored, the spades (finals) of the kings have been restored.
