Neo-Ceram is modern material for our age. It is designed for thermal shock resistance and stability against high temperatures. Withstands continuous temperatures to 1292 degrees F. Nearly three times that of tempered glass. Provides a smoother, longer lasting platen. Mount this to your belt sander platen using J B Weld or 2 pieces of double sided high strength tape. There are several excellent You Tube videos (glass platen) for mounting instructions. HINT: If you use good, strong, double sided carpet tape, the platen can be carefully removed with acetone. Soak from the top and carefully pry with a putty knife until tape releases. This is especially useful if one side of platen is chipped. It can be reversed. A small steel shelf installed to support your glass platen is a must. These instructions are also included in the You Tube videos. NOTE: MEASURE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU ORDER. BE SURE TO INCLUDE IN YOUR MEASUREMENT THE EXTRA 3/4" NEEDED FOR THE SAFETY SHELF. RETURN POLICY: If received damaged, email photo within 2 days for replacement.
