Description: Up for sale is a rare and extremely hard to find hand cut Carlton Fisk Limited Edition Boston Red Sox Wiffle Ball Disc. It is one of 88 total disc/cards in the set. Condition is "acceptable", which is judged to be "poor' or "low grade" in this instance. It is priced accordingly. Please read the description very carefully. Imperfections include surface scratches, indentations, and miscellaneous marks on the front and back.There are some red marks within the face area. There's yellowing and discoloration due to aging. The disc was "hand cut" from a larger box, with other discs, and the cut was inside the dotted lines or "very miscut". Dispite its flaws, it would make a nice addition to the collection of any Fisk or Red Sox fan. It would also be perfect for any vintage "oddbal" baseball memorabilia collection. Please see photos for more information. This disc was originally part of a complete Wiffle Ball Box with other players and discs. Replacing the traditional die cut discs used in 1978, the boxes for the 1979 line of Wiffle Balls each featured 5 ball players. Three ball players printed on the outside panels, and two printed on the inside of the box. All were printed photos, circled with a cutting line to hand cut for collecting & trading the discs. There were three sizes of Wiffle balls, 12 boxes each with 5 different ball players, accounting for 60 baseball discs. One junior size box, eight Regulation size boxes, and three Softball size boxes. There were also two models of Wiffle bat & ball sets with two ball players printed on fourteen headers sleeves, 28 baseball discs, bringing the set total to eighty-eight. The unnumbered baseball discs, licensed by the MLBPA - Major League Baseball Players Association MLB, have a 1976 copyright and were printed in different colors which included; red, pink, yellow, orange, brown and olive green. Since these panels were part of a Wiffle Ball box they are very rare and hard to come by, especially in decent condition.
