Description: c1920 Czech Art Glass Bowl-Stripes-Austria/Bohemian/Tango/Loetz/Deco Era DIMENSIONS: 8" diameter. 4 1/2" tall. Total weight: 1 lb, 6 ounces. DESCRIPTION: Antique art glass bowl in the Wiener Werkstaette style. Bowl on 3 ball feet with internal stripes and applied lip. Transparent cobalt blue and contrasting opaque white. Smooth-polished round pontil mark. All original. Markings: none. Possibly by Loetz/Michael Powolny but I am unable to verify this. Presumed circa 1920. Bohemia/Czechoslovakia. All sides are represented in the photos. CONDITION: On very close inspection you may detect some typical light wear to the interior of the bowl: scattered small superficial scratches in the very bottom of the bowl. Additionally there is some scattered very light/very faint scale where the mouth of the bowl begins to curve and flatten. These things were impossible to capture in the photos. I don't find any this significant / conspicuous. Also note that the pontil scar extend a bit beyond the round polished area on bottom. See photos. Otherwise this bowl is in excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations/repairs. No other scale, stains, haze, etc. No nicks, chips, flakes, fleabites, cracks, dings. No scuffs or scrapes. No significant scratches or rubs. No bursts or other conspicuous flaws. Other typical light handling- and use-related wear: a few scattered small superficial scratches to the exterior. Displays well.
