Here is what he said about this model:Here's a little history on the design. The Forsaken Mistress was originally passed up for the original Fusion Battle Mistress. After much discussion and heavy drinking, we ended up going with the more traditional Mistress-like length and the more traditional wider tip design, like on the original straight handle BM. At the time we thought that the Ergo Battle Mistress had strayed too far from the original design. We wanted the now legendary Fusion Battle Mistress to bring it back in line with the spirit of the original.As an interesting side note, the Forsaken Mistress served as the inspiration for the MOAB!!! With over 12" of INFI hanging off the front of the time proven Fusion Handle, it could be argued that the Forsaken Mistress is just as much MOAB as it is Battle Mistress!This is not a production knife that could have been ordered, this is a very special "One of a Kind made by the Busse Custom Shop. This starts off with a beautiful complicated blade because it has so many different parts to it. This has a Saber Ground Nuclear Option finished Satin flats, and the Fuller is bead blasted. There is the Swedge which is Hollow Ground and the CBT's (Corrugated Bevel Technology) are a competition Finished but it looks like they did a bead blast on that part. From the CBT's to the edge, they left slight marks which are like small CBTs from the machining which is like a Convexed geometry and finished off with a V-Ground Edge. That is by one of the most complicated Blade which I know took a lot more work to do! Than the Busse Custom Shop went all out and made the beautiful finished off with . The pine cone is made in a metallic silver pearl resin which really sets the handle off. It's the little things like this that really sets this apart from other knives. This is not just eye candy to a Busse collector but it feels like it was made to fit in your hand because of the size and beauty of this beast! You can tell a lot of thought and work went into making this beautiful knife. Here is your chance to own a beautiful piece of History! This is Brand New: never used, carried or sharpened.
