Description: Offering this mixed metal bird nest sculptural objet d'art. In the style of Curtis Jere. Completely handmade by a skilled artisan, likely American. Having metal wreath form structure, believed to be brass, composed of rods to simulate collected sticks and twigs, highlighted with copper ribbons, leaves and thistles. Two stone bird eggs nestled inside sculpture either made of marble or polished river rocks. Center portion houses an emerald green glass bowl to display a candle or tea light but could be used to serve nuts, chocolates or even to hold salt on a kitchen counter. One leaf bears the initial of the artist - believed to be “J.F.” or “D.F.” - see photo. Circa 1970s. Measures approximately 6.5”-7” diameter (organic irregular shape) by 2”-2.25” high. Bowl measuring 3” diameter x 1.5”H. Combined weight 1.5 lbs. before packing. Excellent vintage condition without any issues or damage noted. Some dust accumulation. Green glass bowl undamaged and without chips, cracks or fleabites.
